Choice between contract and permanent role

Post by rajini1234 » Wed, 29 Oct 2014 4:53 pm

Hi

I am 39yrs old and doing SAP Consulting at the moment

I am currently doing a contract which is paying about SGD 500/day, which is outside Singapore . It is about to finish in two months and still I don't know , whether it will get extended or not

I have got a permanent opportunity which pays about SGD 100K/Annum.

I am not sure, whether to take the permanent role or continue with the contract role and see whether it will get extended or not

Any suggestions?

Depends on which country outside Singapore. You then need to compare your cost of living with Singapore's and whether you like the quality of life here v/s there.

Regarding perm v/s contract, you have to decide, nobody can suggest. Both can be risky and rewarding in different ways and also it could be a case of known devil v/s unknown angel.
