hey Sp1d3rMan, so happen found your forum and I'm also applying for SC since March this year. Upon submission, I was told the approval process will take at least 1 year :(

I was dumb enough to make e-appt on last Oct and the earliest slot is Mar!!! Why? Because my friend told me that I can actually do walk-in (early hours) so putih-ly wasted 6 months in waiting.

Since GE is over now so I hope the approval process will be shortened.

Dear All,

An update~

My Citizen Approved in Principle!!!!!
For those who still pending result, please check your mail box, they send you IPA thru mailbox and not update in ienquiry yet.
All the best for those who applying and pending result.

just be patient, that's the key.

To Kellevine,

not saying dumb or what, with appointment you don't need to go queue since 6am. For now, first timer submission can go anytime, they will assess your eligibility and if ok they will assign you slot, no more queue early in the morning.

Congratulations. You are a nice helpful person and you seem to have waited for almost a year. I am glad it worked out for you.
As for myself, I have applied with the wife 4 months back and was told to wait 6-9 months. Does it still apply or is 1 year the new norm despite telling you otherwise?
I have high hopes though :).

Hello triple "J"

Thank you very much ^^

upon my application, they told me 6-9Mths onwards, i think there are many factors causes the delay.
another point to note, "no point log in to ienquiry to check application status, until today, i received my IPA, ienquiry still show pending.

just be patient and wait for ICA call, they will contact you to update your employment status.
In case you or you wife's salary revised or any status change, do update them via email or walk in.

All the best and good luck to you!

Congrats and maybe I've brought you luck Sp1d3rman as you receive the letter right after I've posted in this forum (just kidding) :)

Guess it's time for you to surrender your m'sian passport. Keep us posted about your journey ok?

Hi happytour,

my profile listed in the first page i started this thread. you can refer there.

Anyway, to my experience, same profile doesn't share same result. my brother in law and i having about the same profile, but he got rejected and mine got approved.

Basically they will refer to many factors, i notice that if you got call from ICA to update ur current employment status, high chances ur Citizenship got approved. (based on my own assumption)

as i always mentioned "Be Patient" is the key.

thanks!

Congrats Mr.Spidey.

By the way, I thought the status will get updated via iEnquiry on receiving In-Principle. Seems it doesnt work that way.

Do you think that frequent checking of status via iEnquiry will affect the chances of approval?

You mean ICA monitors how often you login to inquiry page?

If they do so, it's incredible news for me
