I personally feel you have a decent chance since you have studied here and have stayed long enough.
Thanks for your feedback , however does this 11 months long waiting showing any negative impact ? Cause I can see few of them here approved in 4-8 months time
Mine got approved after 14 months. Longer does not mean good or bad. FYI, if you are from the subcontinent, you can expect the processing time to be longer.
Yeah , I am from the subcontinent .
The worrying factor is , I have a friend who applied 6 months earlier than me got rejected after one year . From age to qualification to income wise , both of us are exactly match each other. The only different is that , religion is different. And he also trying for some other country PR processing . So so guess that’s the reason for his rejection .

You cant compare two profiles like that
Both of you
- Work for different companies
- Different Salary
- Different Age
- etc,
Secondly, I said it will take longer for the outcome. But didn't say it will always be approved.

Chances would be 50-50.
Once you return back to SG and work here, your chances will be great.

Hi everyone, new poster here.
It seems that a lot of the successful applicants here are at least 25+ years of age. Does this mean those who are younger (21-24) have less chance or is it just the lack of applicants in that age group?
I am aware that having worked in Singapore for at least 2 years gives you better chances but is that necessary? I'm hoping my young age will counter this.
My profile
Age - 24
Status - Single
Race - Korean
Income - $60K annually
Field - Software Engineering/Developer
In Singapore since May 2018 with EP
Bachelor's in Computer Science
Working (abroad elsewhere) since 2017
Will be filing my tax in the following month - will it help waiting to apply until that's done?

What is your current visa status? If you are in SG since 2018 May, it is too early even to apply for PR.
Why have you posted this on a citizenship thread?

Current working with EP. Sorry, that's my bad. Honest mistake. I was lurking numerous threads and ended up posting on the wrong one. But if you don't mind advising - does that mean the 2 year period is an unspoken criteria?

Even 2 years on EP is too early for PR. Atleast 3 years is needed, while 5 years is considered good.

Hi everyone,
Do you get MYICA status actually showing approved? I wonder whether I need to check my mailbox everyday.
I applied last year on Jun 22 and interview was July 9.
*MYICA status still pending
Thanks for your help.
