I found this very amusing to read. In a very sad kind of way.

That in this day of age of accessing 'media' even whilst in the shower, the complete disjointedness 'between the camps', even with a government propaganda machine above and behind a multi-nat workforce, is quite surprising.

I don't like it. I've never lived in a place with this animosity before. In fact I think you've got to be paid major-$ to warrant living here.

Early in a career, getting a look in at a future niche in a smaller goldfish bowl, or later on, getting showered in $. Otherwise what's the point? Let's not forget there are plenty more fish in the sea.

If your workplace is full of foreigners you wont notice any of this and everything you read online will seem only virtual. But if you workplace is full of locals and you are among the small minority of foreigners then its terrible, like you say.

If the workplace is a good mix and you don't interact with the locals or don't care then you wont be affected either.
