You guys always host this on Fridays. Every friday for the past 5 years has been date night for me and my husband. Have to give this a miss (again).

You can always bring your husband to one of our gatherings for an hour or so and then leave to go on your husband date. Several do that now and again. Not a problem for us at all. Let us know if you change your mind. I use Fridays as most of the married ones also have kids, so the way I see it is if it's Friday night, it is a good finisher to the work week and won't impact the family weekend together with the kids, etc.

A meeting place ...

SQUE is on the opposite side of the river to Clarke Quay.

It has 2 for 1 offers on beer and wine most of the night, except for the hours 7-9 sadly as I found out when I checked their wesbsite.
Life is short, paddle harder!!

Extensive food menu, outdoor seating on the quayside, Beer & Wine 2 for 1 from 9 pm till closing @ 1 am. Do-able, but it would mean one drink at regular price to kick off with (otherwise, we'd probably not find enough seating on the quay if we waited till 9).

Beer on 2 for 1 list (apparently over 200 beers but only 12 on 2 for 1):

Opinions or other options/suggestions?

Won't make it, but the next one (December or after) is very likely.

Looks good to me except of what you mentioned but doable I think. 1-2 beers from the start over some food may be a reasonable approach anyway for the later outcome.
