i heard there is this app called uber giving out two free taxi rides, and an additional $10 off when you sign up with promo code: sihum. anyone tried it yet?

Yes. It was good.

If you use this promo code 9r4sd after you register, you get $10 off.

However, supposedly they are only charges rates that are in alignment with LTA permissible rates for regular taxi services. I, personally, haven't used them.
