PR application for newborn - walk-in possible?

Post by wwww » Tue, 07 Oct 2014 9:40 pm

Hi,

We are getting ready to submit the PR application for our newborn. After some clarification mails with ICA they have just created additional confusion:

In an email to me they stated the following: "The parents can walk-in during our office hours (Mondays to Fridays from 8am - 4.30pm) to Permanent Resident Services Centre, level 5 of ICA Building and collect a queue ticket from the information counter for submisison of PR application"

However, ICA's website clearly states: "However please note that the submission of PR application is by appointment only."

Does anyone know which statement is correct?

Thank you! :???:

What they told you via email is correct. ICA processes are not black and white on their website:

For example: Show me one link on the ICA website that explains the procedure for appealing a PR rejection.

Great, this saves us a lot of hassle. Thanks :)
