Cheap classrooms / training rooms for rent?

Post by Derrickk » Tue, 30 Sep 2014 4:39 pm

I will soon be conducting a group tuition class of about 5 - 6 students. The classroom rental prices are a little steep for those i found using google search.

Does nyone know of cheap classrooms avail for rent? I'm looking at around $20/hr or less, if possible.

if you want $20+/hour rates, you'll probably have to rent monthly for say, 8 hours/weekend.

nobody rents them out at such cheap rates on an ad-hoc basis... i know a private tutor who pays $800/month (power/air-con inclusive) for 4 hours every saturday and sunday.

Try Biblehouse - they rent out classrooms (http://www.bible.org.sg/). I might add that you are facing a perpetual problem for the Society I help run here... locating cheap and reasonable meeting premises.

Wow $800/mth only on weekends is kinda costly, unless its a really good location.

I've used a few seminar rooms for my company's events before, there's one with good rates and complete facilities called Seminar Room LLP.

There are a few co-share places popping up now that might work. Block71 (NUS run), "The Projector" (Golden Mile) and no doubt others seem to have some meeting space available. Don't forget that if this an even for a foreign company your embassy may have a trade mission that can assist with space.

I have also utilized a few training room services with the popular ones in Bugis, International Plaza, Paya Lebar. But their costs come up to $200 plus for half a day or $400 plus a day at least. Starting this month, some of them are increasing the cost again. No good if we are still running small groups and the cost for our tuition and training fees are not increased. Searched around Gumtree and came upon this:
https://trainingroomsforrent.com
It's only $70 for half day use. $130 for full day. If my class only less than 15 pax and I want a more central location, will go for it.
