Hi all,
I'm planning to move from Australia to Singapore and am still unfamiliar of Singapore's apartment prices. Basically what I'm after is a self contained apartment, so inside my unit it's nice to have the following:
1. Washing machine
2. Fridge
3. Kitchen
4. Bathroom
5. Air con
And I prefer NOT to share the unit with anyone. Is it possible to get such unit/apartment (whichever term used in Singapore) under S$1000/mo? location doesn't really matter as long as it's still in Singapore (suburbs are fine). Thanks.

Double the amount and it will become more realistic. For 1k, not shared, not possible at all.

S$1800-S$2300 minimum. Go on a rental search site, and look for "3 room HDBs". That's a 2-bedroom apartment. 1 bedrooms are rare, and will be about the same cost.

Absolute baseline seems to be HDB 2-bed. Listings start at $2k.

I'm in the same boat as you OP, the only difference is that I have now made the move.
I've sent you a PM, let's chat there and I'll do my best to share my limited experience as an Aussie brother with you.

Interesting that you started another thread with similar questions, rather than answer my question in this one...

Your similar topics should filter out posts > 2 years. I am also getting this topic suggested to me although it is 4 years old.

All you have to do is look at the last post that comes in in the query and beside the poster's nick is the date of the post. Anybody who is of high enough educational quals should be able to see how old the thread is. A lot of posts are still as accurate as they were when Strong Eagle and I started here (15 years ago).

Wow no wonder this forum is so inactive. With attitude like this of moderators, it is not surprising.

I would have replied to this, but considering the time I've already spent on Hobbes in the other thread, it would just fall on deaf ears.
