Actually you can consider cutting your own hair if you have high expectation on your haircut. It may be difficult the first time but eventually it becomes your monthly routine.
Now that I've taught myself how to cut my own hair (thanks Youtube and Wikihow), I only visit hair stylist if I want a makeover or an odd dyeing/perming job here and there.
