Post by Michelle Lai » Fri, 19 Sep 2014 9:51 am

Dear all,

ACRA reply me " as long as someone have valid residential address " then he eligible to be local resident director .

My friend is foreigner , he travel a lot and he got valid employment pass with his uncle residential address, can he be local resident director ?

Or he have to stay here for at least 183 days to meet this requirement ?

The requirement is "normally resident in Singapore". If he has a Singapore address and a valid work permit he is normally resident. The whole point is to ensure that there is a local director that can be served with papers, should the need arise.
