Should we be taking those to the nearest electrical store/supermarket?

from what I know, just rubbish, as from what I know all rubbish / garbage gets sorted out and separated before going to the incinerators in Tuas Area

of course some slip by and they have 'controlled' explosions in the sorting / incinerator plants

to be honest I am not sure which electrical store or supermarket accept them unlike Printer cartridges / Toners etc.

If you live in a hdb, they have a system of providing a yellow bag into which you leave your recyclables', if you don't then I know the fair price in city sq mall has a recycling point where you can drop off old phones, glass bottles etc.
Not sure about other places though.
To get there early is on time and showing up on time is late

Thanks guys - I thought that at least those fluorescent light bulbs needed to be disposed of properly as they aren't very healthy once cracked (and I don't mean the sharp bits of glass...).

I know this is an old post, but since it is one of the top results in Google I'll add my finding:

https://www.veolia.com.sg/our-services/residents/faqs (search for bulb)

Essentially this site recognizes dangerous materials in bulbs and suggests to bring it either to dedicated bins at Community Centers or dedicated bulb collection bins at
