[quote]Chinese City Launches Special Lane for Cellphone Addicts

If you’re tired of walking behind someone who’s trudging along as they text, has this Chinese city got the sidewalk for you.

Last week, the city of Chongqing unveiled a lane specially designated for people who want to walk as they use their cellphones. “Cellphones, walk in this lane at your own risk”

To get there early is on time and showing up on time is late

That's what this is. What percentage of smartphone users in Singapore have something that isn't Apple or Samsung - 2%?

Ehh, Sony Xperia, HTC Ones, and Blackberries (from old Indonesian aunties, uncles, and maids) probably make up the last 2%.

I've been a Windows Phone user since 2010. Nokia* is churning out great hardware with the best cameras on the market...they just don't get the column inches that Apple/Samsung get. Everybody I've demo'd my phone to is amazed at how fast/neat/user-friendly Windows Phone is.

I mean, everybody gets excited over Optical Image Stabilisation in the new iPhone+ but we've had that over a year with a 41mpx sensor on the Lumia 1020. (yes, 41mpx. It blows away any Apple/Samsung camera on the market).

And my phone lasts more than a day without charging :P

How about, texting in one lane, K-Dramas in another, and the last for us regular walkers?

I have to agree, I have an 820 and a 1020, camera on the 1020 blows away anything I've seen.

That's awesome, but still no one uses them.

The Nexus models are just Samsungs, LGs, etc re-branded.

and both of you missed I was making a tongue-in-cheek post, not trying to post some factual survey of what handsets people use...

Judging by the continual announcements inside Hong Kong's MTR - "Please hold the handrail and do not just look at your mobile phone" (or words to that effect) repeated in Cantonese and English, eyes-constantly-glued-to-cell-phone-itis is not just a Singapore condition

Hold on to your precious Nokia--Microsoft is killing the brand name.
