Guys,
I've searched the forums but seem to can't find the answer to my question.
Would my Employment Pass be refused if I am found to have Latent TB following the medical exam?
From what I understand only active TB is screened for using a chest x-ray meaning my question may be irrelavent however given I have never been tested for TB I simply do not know if I am a carrier and subsequently I am a little anxious about my impending medical exam.
Would appreciate your responses
Cheers!

JR8 - I am from the UK
Ive never shown any TB symptoms and its only when I found out I would be be moving to SIngapore that I looked into TB in detail. I have read up to 1/3 of the worlds population may have Latent TB, most of whom won't even be aware and this got me wondering if I could be in that 33.3%!

I think you should put your mind at rest. TB is a very rare disease in the UK. Before elaborating hugely, did you have the standard and required 'BCG inoculation' when a schoolchild? If so, you're fine.AD1982 wrote:JR8 - I am from the UK

Some of the population here, esp. from the Subcontinent, and the recently arrived from there, have been exposed to TB. But with your profile and if you're vaccinated (as above) you're fine.
