LT-Pass holder and passport validity period

Post by Shalala » Wed, 27 Aug 2014 11:29 am

Hi All,

I would like to know whether an LT-Pass holder requires 6 month passport validity period to enter Singapore? If he/she has a valid LT pass and passport validity of less than 6 months, can he/she enter Singapore from other country?

In my experience this is a bit hit and miss and possibly depends on the country you are traveling from and even the airline you are flying.

My daughters entered Sg for a holiday with only a couple of months remaining on their passports. And conversely I've heard of people refused travel with less than 6 months remaining.

To aviod issues renew your passport before travel.

If there is documentation, however, that there is a passport renewal/application in the works, it should be alright.

Most countries require their passport holders at least 6 month validity anyway.
