EP Rejected

Post by arhong123 » Tue, 26 Aug 2014 8:52 pm

Hi all,

I have a job offer and company has applied EP for me. However few days ago MOM informed my HR that the Employment application was rejected due to advertisment requirment to be met. HR has already appealed for me. Anyone face this problem as well? How long will it take for the appeal?

I know that MOM has a new rule that from 1 Aug 2014 onwards, Employers making new EP applications must advertise the job vacancy on a new jobs bank administered by the Workforce Development Agency (WDA) for at least 14 calendar days before applying for an EP. The advertisement must be open to Singaporeans and comply with the Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices.

Actually the company has put an advertisment in jobs bank for a few days during late July.

Does it still have to be posted for 14 days?

Thanks for the help!!

Yes. Why do you think that rule is there?
