Lazy DIY Mouse Pad
I want a new mouse pad and I want the thinnest possible. However, I also find spending more than loose change ridiculous so I want to DIY it.
And I also want to do a whimsical project, if you call 30 seconds of cutting material with ordinary scissors a project. Currently, I'm using a piece of corrugated cardboard that came with the mouse as a mouse pad. I know this will eventually wear out so I'll need a replacement.
What are your (whimsical) suggestions for a DIY mouse pad?

For the past umpteen years I've been using a cutting pad. One of those square things that come in several different sizes, green in colour and with various grid lines embossed on it. It also works very well as a cutting board. Never wears out and is only ~3mm thick. Dual purpose. Works for me.

I use whatever piece of paper is nearby and handy. But only because I have a glass desk. Toying with getting one of those mice that work on glass:

I probably would have already if I could find one with a cord.

I'm the same in the office. I just use it directly on the desk top. And it's really free range as it is also wireless. Anywhere also can. Works on my jeans as well.
