Volunteering on DP

Post by migratingbird » Sat, 23 Aug 2014 9:31 am

Morning all,

My husband and I have been in Singapore a month - I'm working, he's on a DP hoping to start a Masters soon. He'd like to do some voluntary lab work (he's a microbiologist) while waiting to start his course - anyone know if it's allowed or not?

Thanks.

if he volunteers for any welfare organization I know the answer is OK

for a lab? as long as there is no monetary rewards it should be OK I guess.

seriously I am not sure :(

maybe somebody else may have to enlighten ...

If he's not displacing a paid Singaporean and he's not getting paid, no one will care.
