Family holiday resort - This Xmas

I was hoping somebody could provide some recommendations for good family / kid friendly (8 & 10) locations in Asia. (based in Singapore)

Have spent the last two Xmas in Krabbi and then Margaret River........anyone tried the Philippines?

Philippines is a bad choice for Christmas vacation. It is the biggest holiday in that country. A lot of places will be closed, and those that remain open, will have peak season prices.

I'd suggest other countries like Vietnam or Indonesia if you're looking within South East Asia.
