Haircuts in Singapore: what is "slopey"?

Post by singapore eagle » Thu, 07 Aug 2014 1:36 pm

I was having a haircut this morning and, as usual, I was asked if I want it "slopey".

Now I have no idea what this means, nor do I know what the alternative to "slopey" is. I usually hedge my bets and ask for "a little bit slopey".

Can anyone enlighten me? What is "slopey"?

might be a sloping hair cut for the area at the back of your head (i think).

it's a school boy thing...

I'd expect it means 'tapered'.

i.e. not shaved around the borders then - bam - 1mm further on 1/2" long.

When I get mine done I have the side-burns/back done with #3 clippers, tapered-in, graduated in, going up into the main head of hair.

[Yeah, even QB-House can do it]
