Visit Visa - Return Ticket

Hi, My Uncle's Singapore Visit visa got approved for 2 months. He would like to stay for 2 months full and visit places in singapore. As immigration authorities check for return ticket at arrival in singapore,

1. Does return ticket date need to be end of First month? Or
2. Return Ticket Date can be end of second month?

if 2 months visit pass (India???) you can get. return ticket with date open

problem would be leaving India minus a return ticket, depending on airport
