Work permit rejected and MOM refuses to give a reason.

Can anyone tell me why MOM is refusing to give a reason why they rejected the work permit made by the employer. When asked by the employer of the company, they didn't want to tell why. Are they allowed to do that?

They're allowed to do anything they want within their legislative framework.

Hi my name is onike i have been work sg past 11 years. recently my company was close down.so we come back home.and now one of new company apply for me spass by basics salary 2800 dollars on july which is mom rejected. and appeal was made by company was unsuccessful. This month same company apply for me w/p by basis salery $800 dollar and mom was rejected w/p. and said this foreigner are not eligible for work permits pls chose other candidate what!So any one can help my give me solution how i can get w/p??

Just want to ask my work permit rejected by MOM i dont know why when i call MOM they wont tell the reason, Its possible the company appeal back again the work permit. How to solve this issue. Please advice.
