No wonder you're rejected. What kind of citizen wannabe living in other country? It is like a Mexican applying for USA citizenship but living at the border town at Tijuana. Of course you won't get approved. And you applied too early. Ideally you should apply after second REP renewal. Is your child a PR too? Are you including your child in your application?zhixuen wrote:Hi All,
I have been waited for the result for 8 months and I just checked this morning the application was rejected.
My wife and I are Malaysian and now holding Singapore PR for already 3 years.
My Monthly Income $6k Degree holder.
My wife Monthly income $2.3k
Currently, both of us live in Johor Bahru.
I submited the application together with my 3 months old children.
Could anyone answer few of my doubts as below?
1) Could I appeal? how to appeal?
2) Could anyone advice of my status now? What do you think the problem that I have been rejected.
3) To re-apply of citizenship required how long of the waiting time?
Many many thanks to your valuable input
So hang on... you want SC to avoid paying ABSD? That's not a good reason to take up SC.zhixuen wrote:Yes I did include my child, he is holding Malaysia Citizenship.
Shall I apply PR for my child first? I apply Singapore Citizenship due to my child and I would like to shift to Singapore upon approval.
5% additional stamp duty is not worth to pay.
I thought PRs are already exempted from ABSD, no?PNGMK wrote:So hang on... you want SC to avoid paying ABSD? That's not a good reason to take up SC.zhixuen wrote:Yes I did include my child, he is holding Malaysia Citizenship.

1. Apply PR for your child first.zhixuen wrote:ABSD is 8% applied to PR means 400K HDB PR has to pay $32K for ABSD.
I think I would apply PR for my children first.
I did a bad decision to purchase a house at JB few years ago.
Really? Ideal timing for citizenship is 2nd renewal of REP?the lynx wrote:No wonder you're rejected. What kind of citizen wannabe living in other country? 2. Wait until you renew your REP twice then only consider applying.
3. Sell off your JB house, then you can buy resale HDB.
4. Please move to Singapore if you really want to be in Singapore.
Ideally. Of course some can get it earlier but only those special somePrimrose Hill wrote:Really? Ideal timing for citizenship is 2nd renewal of REP?the lynx wrote:No wonder you're rejected.
