SPR Processing Time
Haha. 4 months and 5 days. My watch goes faster than your watch.zhen.83 wrote:Hi hi. mine is 6 months and 2 weeks...haha
I.e. what's the point of gloating? We all know that every application is different and treated on its own merits against a set of (probably varying) criteria that are not revealed. So the elapsed time between application and outcome, and any correlation with the applicants' profiles, are of minimal (or maybe zero) value to others in the overall scheme of things.
Conclusion - each application will take as long as the ICA deem necessary to process; not a day less nor a day more.
Be careful what you wish for

Re: SPR Processing Time
Same here. Applied in August 2014 and still waiting. 6 months over and status is still "pending". My passport was damaged in November and I got a new passport in November 2014. Does it affect my processing time and will it be considered as a new application from November only and not August?

Just update ICA about the new passport. It will be updated to your current pending application.nlr3169 wrote:Same here. Re: SPR Processing Time
I just got the PR approval letter. This is within 6 months of application.
The waiting time from my own experience can be anywhere between 6-14 months.

My tactic would be to take a quick single and observe him from the other end.

Thanks a ton for the reply. I did update the ICA about the new passport as I had to travel to India in December. Just wanted to know if this could impact my processing time as I already exceeded the 6 months time. will keep you all posted about the outcome soon.
Re: SPR Processing Time
The duration is not necessarily an indication of approval or rejection says my experience with LTVPnlr3169 wrote:the lynx wrote:Just update ICA about the new passport. Re: SPR Processing Time
Hi there,
I have now been waiting for over 16 months
Applied in the last week of Oct 2013
Also, I wanted to check why we would need to update the ICA regarding the new passport being issued? I applied for a new re-entry permit - would that not suffice?
Appreciate your input on this.
