Hotel: New Otani / York ?

Hi all,
I'll be travelling on a package soon and can stay at either the
New Otani or the York Hotel.
Anyone, have recommendations on either ? or which to choose ?

The York is within walking distance to Orchard Rd. and Scotts Rd. if that makes any difference to you. It's a nice hotel in a good location. (I don't know anything about your other choice.)

Such a pity..the place is really nice for a short staycation. Now turned into a quarantine location.

That’s the case for many of the nicer hotels. At least we are able to get some use out of them and help to keep the hospitality industry afloat.

I've seen people stayed in 5 star hotels whilst some stayed in 3 star hotel..
So how do they actually allocate who stays which hotel? Some lucky ones...

Do all hotels accept rediscovery vouchers? Can they be combined?
I see the steps to redeeming it seems quite lengthy..
