Are you able to easily get back your passport and citizenship of the country you are currently carrying a passport for after renunciation?

Are your parents still in the country you carry the passport for?
Life is short, paddle harder!!

And, of course, "Eurotrash" is the Christian way of describing people with whom you have judgments, right?

While I think PNGMK is completely full of shit with his ethnic slurs that he so handily throws about, you, JR8, ought to take a trip to the Top Five Club on the fourth floor of Orchard Towers.

You will find the most beautiful, tall, blonde and brunette models in expensive cocktail dresses you have ever seen. You will see dudes in suits that really look like someone out of a gangster movie. This is whoredom in Singapore raised to a new level of sophistication, although I much more prefer the genuine ladies at Ipanema... the latter "lub me lon tine", the former are pretend sophisticates just like the typical hookers in an upscale New York bar.

When you walk away from Top Five, you will be asking the same question as I: How in the f*ck are these people getting work permits to come work this club as high priced call girls and pimps? I would never touch one of them for fear of becoming involved with the Russian mafia.

PS: I've seen this same shit in KL as well. Someone is pulling strings to make this happen. Which minister has a weakness for tall blondes?

I guess it is not possible if not very hard to get back what you renounce.

Yes ,mom & dad are both retired , now in their late 60’s

Having said all, I think the best option to take time off the work and pay a visit to ICA to find out more as regards to the invitation paragraph on our PR approval letters. It did state (can’t remember the exact wording) that we can apply for citizenship 2 years after the approval date. Not sure but as lynx point it out that may be just generic line everyone gets. If that is the case we just wait for few years to build a strong application. TQ

Nope - the Albanian (maybe?) mafia have been moving into OT pretty much for the last two or three years. As one other person said - how the heck are they getting the work visas etc? Eurotrash is a suitable term for the Euro's I despise - and there are a lot of them. The world blasts the USA for it's policies and sucking up of resources but Europe is only a step behind (and actually far worse in some respects when it comes to inter euro policies, ala http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Agricultural_Policy). Euro's want it all and don't want to give the same back from what I can tell. Remember these folk are the source of several world wars, centuries of rivalry, the exporting of Christian militanism..., a neutered Nato... do their positive contributions outweigh their negatives ones? No, I think they balance out overall in historical terms but in the last few decades their general input IMO is negative to the world. Oh and the continuing issues of the GFC....

To answer your questions:
Brix (bar under the Hyatt), and in various condos-turned-brothels advertised online. They're selling their bodies.

To add: I didn't realize Singapore was now cracking down though because of it. I assume since the Romainian/Bulgarian/Albanian/whatever ambassador pulled that Hit and Run, ICA is giving citizens from those countries (Who can tell them apart?) a harder time.

And apparently I should stop replying before reading the rest of the thread. Everything was answered. Except that they've migrated from Brix to OT. Guess i should have paid more attention? :P

LOL...

You should really include the Asians from third world/developing countries in that list, going by the trend of this discussion.

But frankly, it is not us who make the call which nationality gets the golden ticket. It has and will always be the ICA. And yes "some" of us used to work for/with ICA (and have since retired) so they are our resident immigration advisor here.

Regardless we go by the anecdotes from this forum. And since the successful ones often do not come back to this forum to update, we only have the failed ones for the data for all these years. Though our revelations and our inputs may sound racist on surface (just because we say something like "you may only have 10% to get PR/SC because your passport is from country A"), at least we don't tell lies and give false hopes.

The most important thing for desperate people who are dying to be here permanently, is to be able to prepare for Plan B. Giving false hope will not launch Plan B planning.

if it helps ... in my PR approval letter it was written that "I will be eligible and welcome to apply for SC after 2 years of my PR", when I showed this to the evaluating officer, they said their criteria has changed ... now it dosent mean anything ... etc , after that I applied anyway through eSC and my application was rejected

but no harm trying ! good luck !

Gandalf could add:

British because they break banks
Americans because they graffiti on Mercedes
Indians because they cook

@ PNGMK
Considering Australia's track record in blocking/diverting/sinking boats of illegal immigrants (live ones), I'm not sure you have much of a moral platform.
