Terrace palm tree care?

Post by scooter » Tue, 17 Jun 2014 1:51 pm

Hi all - I bought some of those medium-sized palm trees from Ikea over the weekend and repotted them. I have them outside on my sun-exposed terraces and wondered what kind of watering and care do they need? I see a lot of them on other people's terraces that have had their leaves and branches turn from a nice deep green to a yellow-ish green or even actually yellow, and wondered if that were due to too much water, or not enough, or no fertilizer, etc.?

Also wanted to get some bigger potted plants from a florist such as Corona on Clementi. Any rough idea of costs for a medium-sized frangipani tree, or some larger palms (i.e. higher than 150cm) or other trees?

Thanks!

Scooter
