And not on the grounds of silencing me because of the facts I state If you do this, you are obviously afraid of the truth. Very afraid!
You, on the other hand, are obviously afraid to face the truth that your highlights of the negative things about Indians only speak volumes for your cowardice behind the screen and keyboard. Please go back and re-read your posts from Day 1. How many percent of them has an element of decrying all things Indian?

And please learn to distinguish between racial rants and racial examples. My posts have highlighted Indian examples. Have they ever had a derogatory remark or name made against Indians? At least I don't refer to them as pakis

Well it can't be historic data for 2014 can it - I'll leave you to figure out why that is.
So you're saying Singapore has the highest GDP in the world; but that no one else knows this 'fact' except you. Not the UN, World Bank, and so on, but just you?

Yep, you are right. Singaporean Chinese are famous for it. So much so that they had to be told to stop asking for Chinese applicants or Chinese speakers for positions on Orchard Road when the companies had absolutely no business dealing with either the PRC, HK or Taiwan. Singaporean Chinese were and are the worse of them. I will have to agree that most foreign HR Managers practice the same discriminatory policies, but look, when in Rome..... Singaporeans brought it on themselves. How about offices where all understand English (locals and foreigners alike but with a preponderance of Chinese locals, they only speak Chinese in the office, deliberately excluding those who don't know the language? Damn shoe pretty tight when on the other foot, innit!

Perhaps a capital gains tax w.r.t public housing should be instituted for PRs, perhaps then demand for public housing would be somewhat tempered and not lead to runaway inflation as we've seen in recent years. Private properties, let it be a free for all.
rajagainstthemachine wrote:Sing Along wrote:rajagainstthemachine wrote:
are you suggesting that a PR who buys a HDB should not sell his house at a profit? okay then.
If it is private housing, by all means. If it is public housing and they are cashing out to return to their home countries, I have an issue.
If they intend to stay on in Singapore to contribute, have their sons serve NS and make this their permanent home, I have no issue.
your point is quite valid, but then again there are no stringent rules in place to prevent it from happening, so who do you blame ? the PR who's looking for a quick buck or the loopholes in the law that allow this to happen?
Since HDB happens to be public housing, its time they wake up and realize that their houses shouldn't be subjected to drastic profit margins. its quite a simple rule to implement isn't it ?

The issue of race seems to come into every single one of your posts, and not in a pleasant or constructive way.

Did I say you're using
derogatory names on all things Indian? Read that.
Still a coward. Choosing the easier option of stating all negatives of Indians on whims and fancies, instead the harder option of being objective.

I will eat a slice of humble pie for that remark of mine but yes it's applicable to all hiring managers irrespective of which nationality. But then again, you don't get that many Singapore (chinese or not) hiring managers in MNCs right? Most are owners of their own business

Look you need to see the big picture! Again go look up racial rants coz referring to a particular race by a derogatory remark is 1. I have highighted real-life examples that unfortunately tend to focus on 1 race. I would have called them derogatory remarks in my examples and that itself would have qualified for racial rants
