PR - worth trying?

Post by JeffX » Thu, 12 Jun 2014 10:05 pm

I am Caucasian working in Singapore for about 1.5 year in my own company (employment pass), salary is 6000$. Company business is about online consumer goods sale (in Singapore and abroad) - so no Singaporean employees.
I have a Bachelor degree from my own country, 31 years old, single.

And by the way I am making my second degree in Singapore now.

Do I have any chance for PR?

I'd say low chance now. Wait a few more years, hope the business grows so you can draw more salary and employ some locals, which could improve your chances.

Marry a local Singaporean Chinese girl and have a boy is your best shot.

Short of that, I don't think you have a shot at all until you hit the third tax filing and are making PEP salary levels ($12k/month) or higher.
