$30 for romantic meal for two in those area is impossible!

Subway works.
Grab two Subway meal sets, pick a quiet spot in Fort Canning Park overlooking the river and Clarke Quay, and douse yourselves with repellent.

Maybe pass on the subway! Good shout about Fort Canning though! Completely slipped my mind.

Hey has anyone been to the Tanjong Beach Club? Is it good there? Are Sundays the best day to go?

Our Village is nice Indian cuisine in Boat Quay. Beautiful view from top floor. $30 for a (2 person) meal might be tough (although $30 each would work), but if no alcohol is involved, might be do-able….

Yes, lots of "beautiful expats" go there. Sundays usually is the "Smack My Beach" event or something. Looking from the FB photos, it seemed lively enough.
