Entering and Leaving Singapore with LTVP & Student Pass

Post by skywalk2_05 » Mon, 02 Jun 2014 4:14 pm

Hi Guys,

May I know is there any procedures for LTVP and student pass holder to exit Singaore and re-enter Singapre?

My wife and daughter needs to go back to their hometown for holiday and comes back to Singapore in a month time.

Appreciate any feedback.

If that LTVP comes with Multiple Journey Visa (which you would have paid for during collection) you should be ok.

Student Pass is already with multiple-entry visa IIRC.

I can only speak re: the LTVP. It is valid 3 years, and there is no separate process or requirements to say go on holiday etc out of SGpore. You are resident in SGpore, you just travel as normal but have residency.

I don't understand what Lynx means about a multi-entry visa associated with your LTVP. I have my LTVP ID card, I have no 'visa' as in an LTVP stamp, or any other form, in my passport. I go through immigration, show my LTVP card, and ICA chop my passport with simple entry/exit stamps... (as with a citizen, or EP holder etc).

LTVPs used to have Multiple Journey visas imprinted on the reverse of the card. Haven't seen one in a while so don't know if they do now or not.

Should have brought mine down to show you...
I'd post a scan, but rather pointless as I'd have to deleted much of the image.
However, it's titled 'VISIT PASS Immigration regulations'
Below,
Thumb-print. FIN# Date of issue/expiry. And below a bar-code.

And, that's it. This is the same as my previous one c2008.

Now later, curiously I was going to find an image to back this up. What I found instead was this... http://luzhlavender.blogspot.sg/2013/09 ... apore.html

... the curious thing is my LTVP has nothing between the upper FIN number and dates below. Just blank space. No mention of visa, or visa *anything*, completely blank.

You don't need to pay a separate fee for a multiple-entry visa. You can travel on the LTVP. I have traveled back to my country and throughout the region with no difficulties entering or exiting on the LTVP. All you need at Immigration is your passport and the pass. And if your wife gave her fingerprints when she picked up her pass, she can go through the expedited Immigration self-check line at Changi.

I don't know anything specific about the student pass or LTVP, but not everyone needs a multiple-entry visa.

I am on EP and I don't have one printed on my pass. My husband (also on EP) and our children (on DP) have this multiple visa thingie printed on their passes. They have a different nationality from me though.

I rang to ask before, and was told that I did not need one because of my nationality. No further explanation. I have been in and out of Singapore many many times and have ever experienced any problem coming back.

I speak for the student pass cause I used to have one

The student pass is already issued with a Multiple Entry Visa. Just that they never state it. Just ask them to bring along the student pass and passport. At the end of the day they will just scan the student pass and verify with your passport[/u]
