Where should I get tv and DVD player and is there anything else I should get? I also need to set up internet, home phone. Any idea how to watch Australian tv now that Australia network is about to be cut. Also is there any company or individual I can hire to put all this together... Hubby works 24/7 so I'm hoping to do what I can. Thanks for your help
Ps I'm so green I don't even understand the "disable HTML in this post" box below this notice LOL.
audio house (at bendemeer) or any of the popular electronics chain - harvey norman, best denki, courts... they will probably be able to hook everything up for you when they deliver. be sure to ask.
tv, dvd... cd player/hifi? all in one TV for the kitchen? bed side clock radio?
you may be able to stream internet tv from your computer off australian broadcasters' websites.
in case you need VPN (makes the website think you're using a computer from within a certain country), a phone and fast internet... i believe myrepublic (an internet provider) provides a bundled package (easier to use for you, i believe).
there may be another internet provider that does the same for a similar price but i'm not sure. any internet provider will hook the equipment up on the installation date.
mobile... if you want to simplify things and don't expect to receive or make many calls, a prepaid number will work fine and easy with minimal hassles.
otherwise, bring your ID to any mobile phone stores scattered all over the island to sign up for a post-paid number.
only 3 companies will provide it - starhub singtel m1. i recommend picking one that has the best reception in your area. catch 22.
starhub and singtel also provides pay-tv packages and hook-ups. more convenient to use than internet tv i guess, but i prefer the latter.
good luck!
