Hi gus

I and my girlfriend( PRC) know each other almost 3 years and he is an ex-work permit holder. We are planning to get married in sg. I know that we had to get permission to get married before register to ROM. Am I correctly?

By the way Im a Singaporean.

I had download the marriage application form.
For the documents required from my gf, it stated in the form. Must she need to get the employment information because she is now not working in Sg anymore? She is in China.


And for his personal detail that need to fill up in Part 1A, postal address and contact details, what should she write?
She is now in her hometown in china.

What is the changes of getting approve?
My monthly basic is around 2.8K plus

Congratulations.

From personal experience, most things with ROM is quite hassle free. Only thing which could create problem is if she has done any overstaying or any visa offenses.

Listing out the things I could remember

- Address should be same as the one in her Passport
- Employment information is necessary but it could be useful, and could be handy
- Salary doesnt matter
- Like I mentioned before, unless there is a some offense on her name, this would just go well without any issues.

For some strange reason you need to re-enter your past employment information in every form in Singapore. Address - yours or of the company she worked for - depends on what the form asks.
