I am looking for the private tutor for Mandarin.
Is there anyone who can recommend me Mandarin teacher as private tutor? No Cantonese, no Hokenese. Mandarin please.
Hopefully the tutor had more than 5 years experience.
Any advice will be very appreciated!

last weekend, i met my german fren's mandarin tutor. she does 1 to 1, and also runs a language school. she teaches most of the german expat in my fren's company. may charge a fair bit.

she is from beijing, and been here for 16 years. english quite good by local standards.

i have another fren from wuhan. his english is not good. but, if u can speak mandarin ok, i think he can be suitable. i speak mandarin well, but cannot read nor write it. for me, he is proving to be a good tutor. and he is not too expensive. he teaches me free, coz i teach him english. he may charge abt $15-20 an hour?

Dear Minhwa,
Thanks for info. Your name sounds more like Korean name. Can you let me know how much that lady charge for the lesson? If this is not proper to put it here, please email me to lomisvoice@yahoo.co.kr

As I regards myself as a kind of beginner, Guy from Wuhan would not be suitable for me because I only speak simple mandarin. I hope tutor could speak good English so I can have better explanation in English.....sometimes I found even teacher's english is not good enough something is not very clear for me...

sorry, i kept forgetting to ask my fren. do u still want the contact?

i feel, as a beginner, u dont need someone who is very good in chinese. its more important that they can explain in detail to u, in korean or english. i am definitely helping my chinese fren much more than his american lecturer. my fren can asks me extensively in chinese (which a beginner really needs to). bcoz i understand the contextual meaning of chinese, and english, i can explain to him much better.

if u r a girl, its too easy to ask a local guy to teach u, for free! hahaha .. no, i’m serious!

minhwa :)
not korean, malaysian chinese.
