Hi..

I have an experience of 5 years and have an offer from Singapore for S$4,000 Pm, this includes all allowances.I wish to move with my family of 3 , Me,wife and a baby.
I need some help in evaluating the following
1.Standard of living
2.The minimum expenditure on various things like home rent, monthly expenses , transport etc.
3.Will I be able to save a decent money.
4.How is the cost and availability of Baby food..

Thank You.

Hi,

I will be moving to singapore(jourong) from USA around may, by then my baby will be about 2.5 month old. I would like to know more about the living styles there since i've never been there. How much are part time maid services?are there infant classes or play groups? what language do people speak there? are there a lot of stay at home mom get together events? My husband still works in USA most of the time, I am just there for 6 month cause it's my first kid and my mother in law can help me out with the baby and all. How much do I need monthly for my baby and I to live well? (which include a part time maid, spa visits, go out with my mother in law to nice restr once a week) etc?

thanks

Hi praveen,
I guess you are the stay at home dad? aprtments are houses are your biggest expensive, I'm british and live the local life best i can, our income is a little less than yours. 3600 and we manage ok. Only my wife is working. day care is 430$ a month NTUC from 7am to 7pm 6 days.

You need to get cheap place to live, that's the biggest burden, the apartment next to me is around 1200$ 3 bedroom
