Airfare help?

Post by Dert42 » Tue, 08 Apr 2014 9:16 am

So this summer my wife and kids are going back to the US to stay for a while. I'm going to go with them, but come back seperetly and much earlier. Then they will come back with my sister, then my sister will go back after a week stay.

Something like this:
Adult A and B and children C and D to US.
Adult A to Singapore
Adult B and E and children C and D to Singapore
Adult E to US

I want to fly United because we have good experience with them, and Kris flyer points. I want to book it so that we are sitting together, and preferably as cheaply as possible. It doesn't seem possible to set up this kind of itinerary anywhere.
Can this be done? I'm getting ignored by the travel agent I used to work with in the US, so i'm open to recommendations there if that is the answer.

Thanks!

Book them directly on the United website.

You will have to book the following flight combos.

a) Adult A, individually SIN-USA-SIN
b) Adult B, children C and D SIN-USA-SIN
c) Adult E, individually, USA-SIN-USA

Unless you are trying to do this two weeks from now, you should not have an issue with seating. Check seating availability for each flight and make your arrangements as quickly as possible. If you are going to do this in summer, more $$$ than after September.

I've done similar with daughter, granddaughter, wife, and self... with two of the fares done on frequent flyer.

PS: I flew SQ most places in Asia but always put my miles onto United. Then, I could book SQ flights SIN-IAH-SIN directly on United website, paying United miles and not SQ inflated miles.
