Where to Exchange Serbian Dinars?

Post by martincymru » Mon, 07 Apr 2014 8:43 am

I have 3000 Dinars. Value 50 dollars. Where can I change since Money Exchangers don't want.

To get there early is on time and showing up on time is late

If money changers don't take it, probably nobody in Singapore will!
You can ask the Serbian embassy if there is any way to change their currency here. If not, take it on your next trip to Europe and try your luck there.
(I faced the same issue with some Moroccan Dirhams - no way to change them anywhere in Singapore! By the time I took them to Europe, the banknotes had changed and my old ones weren't accepted there either. I lost around S$100.)

If money changers don't take it, that means it is not easily available and may be valuable for collectors. In Bugis village I have seen people selling currency notes for collectors. Try there or try to sell on any classifieds site/forum. Its worth only $50 anyways, so the face value isn't much.

Or just give it away to kids you know and they can start a hobby.

I think it's a closed currency, so you will likely struggle, you could flog it on ebay.
