Cab share reliability

Post by anon123 » Fri, 28 Mar 2014 3:00 am

I will be moving to Singapore shortly and will not be using a car. I have heard that many people use cab shares to commute to/from work. After reading this forum, it's obvious that hailing a cab can be a hassle. For a regular cab share to work, is it possible to create a standing agreement with a cab company so that they have a cab at your door each morning at a given time?

You'd have to work it out with an individual driver.

SMRT once used to have a cab sharing programme but it was scrapped at 2010 due to poor response.

A friend of mine uses this app http://www.split-it.sg/about. I have not used it before but I would like to try it myself in future. I have no affiliation or monetary gain from this so if you try this and you find that it is good, let me know here.
