When I relocate to Singapore and ship my belongings over will I end up paying a customs official to watch, read and listen to every DVD, book and CD?

Judging from both your question and your response you simply did not check the Search for all terms option. In case you did, and still had problem finding the right answer within first 10 search results then really, all I can say is, I am sorry for you and for the expats living in Singapore.
