My question is actually more general then specific, it is about connecting a better projector to a PC.
My setup is: ATI X800 Pro with DVI-I and SVHS Out
Coming projector: Sony VPL-HS50 (just released in Singapore)
The projector has HDMI, Component, S-Video, Composite inputs and 1280*720 native resolution.
As most of the todays video content is pretty low resolution (less then 720 lines) it needs to be upscaled when delivered to the projector. Therefor I guess SVHS connection will not do. So I am left with only HDMI meaning that I have to connect my DVI-I to HDMI, right?
1. Have any of you out there tried actually to connect a pc to a better projector for Home theater? How did you do it and what cables did you use?
2. How do you upscale? HW box between the PC and Projector or some software?
Thanks in advance
Best regards,
