How to apply PR or LTVP for my Malaysia Nephew

Post by Amituofo » Sat, 22 Mar 2014 8:53 pm

Hi All:

I am Malaysian, PR in Singapore. I wanted to apply for my nephew who born in 2011 to stay in Singapore what can I do?

I have try to help him apply student pass to enter child care in Singapore but get rejected. So I wondering are there any way I can help humor get LTVP or PR so that he can stay in Singapore. Both his parent are Malaysian.

His mother just got a job offer but still have no ideal she will get S pass or work permit, her salary is S1900, so can she Apply LTVP for him? From MOM website it show only income between S4000 till S8000 only can apply LTVP for spouse.

If he have step grandparent who is Singaporean can he help him to apply LTVP

Or can he apply PR by himself?

you, a PR, can't apply anything for your nephew.

there are not enough places for singaporean tots are CCC/kindergartens.

his mom can't apply an DP for him at the moment. neither can his dad.

he cannot apply for PR by himself.

i think you should look into the singaporean grandparents angle... although i suspect it would be almost impossible.

PR cannot apply LTVP. Only SC can.

Your nephew will not succeed in getting a LTVP. LTVP is only for Singapore Citizens to apply for his/her family members of foreign nationalities but u are only a PR. PR do not have the right to apply LTVP. Moreover your nephew's mum's monthly salary is too low. SGD $1900 a month is consider low-income worker in Sg. Very unattractive. The mum will be placed on work permit which is too far away from PR. Work permit is below S-Pass. To get PR, u must show Sg government that u have money. U must be rich e.g. an average annual income of SGD $75,000 or average monthly salary of SGD $6250.

Please do not mislead ppl by stating certain income level to be qualified to apply or obtain PR in Singapore.. it is not true... there are many other criteria which ICA will take into consideration for all PR applications, so please do not make any untrue statement. Salary is not the only criteria. Thank you.

LambbyYay is a good reason as to why the country still needs foreign talent.
