Playgroups/Pre schools recommendations for West Coast area.

Looking for a pre school or playgroup for our 3yr old daughter in the local area.
Can anyone recommend any good ones? We are happy to go on a waiting list!
Ideally a place where there are a mix of nationalities and they speak English.

Anyone lived in a west facing home? How do you bear with the heat?
I've been in 2 homes with west sun and it's scorching and my electric bills always...
