Diners share memories of soon-to-be-closed McDonald's at KAP

Post by Fortan » Thu, 13 Mar 2014 11:13 am

Just read through the article on Asia One's website. Singapore must be the only place on the planet where people can create a whole buzz of sadness based on the closure of a McDonald's restaurant. Not really because there is a lack of them around the little red dot..... the mind boggles

what other news is here ... other than maids, ft, haze ....

normal says me

years ago when I arrived, a guy drowned in kallang river, if you consider it a river and the news was nothing but about river drownings, illegal fishing etc ..., for more than a month ... till I went to see the river and was confused where the river was.... I could only see a large drain :)

same when they started the crow culling ... two months that was the main news

welcome to Singapore

It IS sad..... it's the only Drive-Thro in the area with the next down at the West Coast Park I think.

AFAIK the building goes for an enbloc or something. I don't care about McDonald's, but there is also one of the very few 24h, large CSs over there. The next of this size but not 24h is in Jelita.

It is a somewhat iconic building for Singapore and I believe the first McD.
