Will it be difficult to get another job without a PR?

Post by Utsav » Mon, 03 Mar 2014 5:41 pm

I am a 31 year old expat, living and working in Singapore for the last 7 years. I have worked in two of the big 4 audit firms and now work in a bank. My bank is shifting jobs to cheaper locations, but I don't want to leave Singapore.
I've applied for Singapore PR more than once & been rejected.
I make around SGD 96000 pa.I work in product control.
Will it be difficult for me to land another job in Singapore without a PR?

At that salary level, companies(or banks in particular) wont have issue applying for an EP for you. But you need to be in Singapore while applying for jobs. At the moment there are plenty of candidates, locally, looking for job. So in case you are planning to go back to India and then look for a job in Singapore, forget it.
