ELD message for SPR

Post by vaikrit » Tue, 18 Feb 2014 10:43 am

Hi guys, i applied for citizenship 7 months and 28 days ago and as of today my application status on ienquiry still shows as "pending". However, this morning i received an sms to check the register of electors on the elections department website. For the heck of it, i logged in with singpass and this is what i found: "Your name is not on the register as you were not a Singapore citizen on ...." (Screenshot below) Does this mean anything now? Do all SPR's get the same message? Or am I inferring too much?

It would almost appear that you contacted the elections department website regarding voting privileges while still a SPR as it seems to be as a response to an inquiry by you.

As an SPR for 20 years, I've never received one.

Am I inferring to much by assuming you're an idiot? Of course we could engage in a 'true blue' conspiracy theory that the SPR's are being moved to the electoral role to increase the PAP vote.

I understand that you have been on this forum for a while but there was really no need for saying such a thing  ... I just posted to see if anyone knows why I am able to login to the ELD website with my singpass and if other SPR are also able to login

$100 you'll never confess here to what you've done that made this happen.

Something stills smells fishy in Denmark. Why would the Register of electors department be sending you an SMS and how did they get your phone number? Sounds like you contacted them at some point previously......

Who sent you the sms?

This was the sms from "ELD" - No number per say. It read "(From: Elections Department) Check your particulars in the revised registers of electors by 3 Mar 2014. Visit: www.eld.gov.sg for more information"

I do remember registering at ecitizen.gov.sg a long long time ago but that was to get sms alerts from IRAS which has ceased since then...
Or he got a "new" line from Starhub.
And also I have my current mobile number since the last 10 years
