A 10-pack or 12-pack of AA batteries is a large pack by Sg standards.

When I say large pack, I'm talking about a 36-pack from Lowe's/Home Depot/Walmart or 100-pack from w wholesale warehouse.

You can always buy 10x 10 pack for S$29. How much does it cost in Canada?

12 oz or 370 ml of maple syrup costs about 16. SGD. But I don't think that it is shelf stable enough to come by sea container. I regret the bottles of syrup that I had in the freezer and gifted rather than bring along. But at least someone got to enjoy rather risk the spoilage.

Garbage bags are a good idea because they might be hard to find in large quantities here. I've been here 1 1/2 years and still haven't run out of the ones that were shipped. I'm glad we shipped them here.

By the way, large garbage bags might be OK if you're going to live in a detached home (bungalow) or townhouse, but if you're going to live in a condo they likely will be too big to fit down the garbage chute, especially for the newer condos with the pneumatic waste systems (PWS).

It's a good second use for plastic supermarket bags - they fit the garbage chutes perfectly.
