Yes, have to totally agree with the no helmets no lights thing, especially on fast roads. And I can appreciate pedestrians being frustrated with cycle bells, not sure what the solution is though as I definitely don't feel it to be safe for my kids to cycle on busy roads where so many cars appear not have no idea how interact with bikes (the number of cars we've had pulling out from a side road and completely either ignoring or not seeing that there are several of us on our bikes when we've got right of way, and this is on quiet roads!)
