That retail bank is also cutting costs in Singapore by moving jobs to KL and Tianjin(China). My friend has been asked to relocate to KL, he is on Optimum payrolls though.

They may have cut back investment banking but they certainly haven't "switched".

From the article: "Of that sum, £237m went to investment bankers." and "The best employees, he warned, were constantly being "tapped on the shoulder" by other institutions".

You know he's not talking about the back office and support folks.

I am sure the tax payers of the UK are happy with the arrangement :D

Not sure how the Govt is gonna get its money back on the deal they made....

Maybe when Scotland becomes independent they Scottish Tax payer will foot the bill .... probably be less inclined to pay bonuses methinks.
