Hello,

I have invited over a team (more advanced) to play friendly match with us. As they are stronger, we hope to get some reinforcement from your side by getting your strongest players e.g. yourself, over for a game. In the meantime, the rest can play causally by mixing around.

The match is expected to be 6.3.2010 on Saturaday Tanjong Beach around afternoon 1 +.

Tentaively, we think we have 2 major matches:
Match A: 3 sets (4 a-side)
rules- no same player will play all 3 sets
at least have 1 female player

Match B: 4 sets (6 a-side)
rules: no same player will play all 4 sets
at least have 2 female players


The team with the most number of winning sets wins.
hence if one team wins the first 4 sets consecutively out of the total 7 sets, this team is pronounced winner.

Overall, this team challenging us are better in terms of skill, with 2 to 3 players who are very strong.

I am sponsoring the prizes for the winner - soft drinks and some simple refreshments.

sounds good. Except 1pm+ most of our guys only turn up 3pm+

At least one female compulsory in each team playing.
3 of the players must not play for more than 3 matches.

What is the penalty of not winning?

Hello Bariq1,

We also like to add a rule that there should be no Alcohol consumed preferably 2hrs before or during the game, whether or not the player is sober or not throughout the game.

Alcohol detector will be brought to the game for testing. Culprits found with high level of alcohol content in their blood should be barred from the game forever or fined SGD100 or given three strokes of cane on the buttock or all of the above.

We do view drink driving and drink volleyballing seriously and would urge drinkers to refrain from drinking while doing anything else, i.e. except drinking. If you drink, then dun play volleyball!

I'm really interested to try beach volleyball and it seems there is a couple of groups on the forums that play, although as of now I can only find this one thread ... do either of you accept beginners to play?

Will you be playing this Saturday 13 Feb? Unfortunately my Mandarin class clashes with Saturday afternoon so I could only try to join very occasionally ... as this weekend is CNY the school is closed so was hoping for the chance to give it a try!
