I have yet to send my application. I have been cracking my brain to write an impressive cover letter. Cuz i dont have any experiences in customer service. I have been in accounting field after I graduated from O levels. So is a complete change in my career path.

Not all of them will be japanese, but all of them will know some japanese at least.

I tink the self intro is testing our eng speaking right? if we do all the self intro in jap won't they penalise ?

Hi all!! I am a Malaysian and would like to know can I apply for this JAL cabin crew job?
As from the requirement, it stated for Singapore or Malaysia Permanent Resident. I wonder whether I am qualified for it.

Of course Malaysian can apply. Do you know what permenant resident means?

Actually its preferable for u to do it in Japanese. Its best if you do in both, if possible.

For the ditching training, we learn to evacuate from the aircraft and set up the slide raft etc, but we don't actually have to get into the water, except one time just to learn to get onto the raft from the water, but the water is really shallow so don't actually have to swim at all. We don't even have to be in a swimsuit. We were told to wear shorts and tshirt for that.

Just send in a simple cover letter and resume. They don't really care about it I think. Send in a nice professional looking photo if you can=)

Thanx for being so helpful here...Juz wana check...what is the dresscode like for the 4R photo requirement? Will it be Office Wear (Suit) or Smart Casual? And also for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd round interview?

There is no "dress code" for the photo, but I wold suggest you send in a more business-like photo to show your professionalism. For the interview, pls be in suit. It IS a job interview. I think you will have no chance at all if you turn up in casual attire. Its very impt in japanese culture to be look presentable and professional. Best if you can bun up your hair as well coz they will try to imagine u in the JAL uniform when u show up for interview.
